IET Robot Day.
In July the IET hosted a Robot Day at The Quad in Derby. Many of the Inspiration Rover team volunteered to go along and help out at the day. It was also a chance to catch up with some of the young people and celebrate phase two of getting the Rover working. We took along the Rover and built a Mars environment for it to drive around in. Lots of visiting children, (and parents!), enjoyed driving the Rover around. The team also led a robot crafts table for children which was great fun, and we assisted with children building ChickBots.
The Rover was based outside and met some Army bomb disposal bots which was amazing. The team would love to do more of this kind of day with our Rover.
